Since doing our little lecture with the Girl Guides the other evening, I have been looking for a easier to use Windows Image Manipulation program. Initially we were looking at Gimp, but this is a little to complex for the girls.
I have come across a nice little .NET application called Paint.NET. I find this program very easy to use and it provides a significant level of functionallity. In addition to this it has the ability to install various plugins. I'm impressed. If anyone has kids or is new to the world of photo editing and image manipulation – this software is a great introduction.
Even for the hardened Photoshop user, this little app is surprisingly useful for the quick little edits on those jpg's that just need a quick little tweek.
Get is here…
I have also added a link on our links page – cos I think it's worth it.
Regards GHL.
P.S. I'm using the Beta 3 version 3.5
